The Flavel House is a well restored mansion built by Captain Flavel in the late 1800's. Period pieces of furniture enhance the touring experience. The yard includes a giant sequoia and other unique trees and shrubs.

Lots of history in this home. I enjoyed learning about George Flavel and his role in early Astoria. Beautiful home.

The Flavel House is certainly worth touring. It has been lovingly maintained and holds charm in every room. The little lady working there was a wealth of information and quite charming too. Not expensive and worth the time.

We've toured through a lot of old homes in a lot of cities across America and the Flavel House didn't disappoint. The gift shop was great too. If you like old architecture then you should definitely stop by.

Step back into time when you tour this elegant house. You can picture the family living here in the late 1880s.

You watch a short intro movie at the visitor/giftshop before the self guided tour of the house. You can also buy a 3 museum pass to save dome money. It is a great house with interesting history.

This house is a beautiful old victorian with many original furnishings. It is an easy “field trip” for anyone interested in the history of the area and wants to see examples of historical architecture and furniture.
