...give Ft Caroline a look-see. It's free and while there's not a lot to the fort, it's a great location and easy nature walks. Sit on the dock and watch the ships go by with dolphins racing along in front and beside them.

If you are a passport collector this is a great quick stop. The fort is a great replica as well as providing a history of French exploration. Nice one mile nature trail as well

Most people problem won't find the history interesting:( Still, it's an added bonus:) The trails and being outside with nature is what it is all about:) I wish I could of spent more time yesterday, but the rain had other plans;( Still, many photo spots:)...More

Wonderful nature walk leading to a clearing with the representation of the original fort. There are some changes in terrain.

The visitor/interpretive center is nice and gives you an overview of native and early French and Spanish life. Fort Caroline was the site of so many Spanish and French war atrocities in the 1500s that perhaps it is best that the recreated fort is not...More

May 1 was the anniversary of French Naval expedition and this weekend May 6 will be an anniversary celebration with the outdoor oven used and cannon fired. They have a great welcome center and a good walking trail to the fort .

We took our dog and she loved it. It's very pet friendly. :)
