It is a very pretty park but camping there has its issues. Sites are small and cramped in. Not great for larger RVs. We were in site 36 by the boat ramp and when spring high tide came in late at nite our site was 6 inches underwater. Salt water so if we drove out it would damage the cars.... More

This is an excellent place for a hike or beach bike ride with a significant other or the family. There are miles of beach and driftwood areas to explore. Sometimes there is decent surf and wave riding. A great day trip for surrounding areas and some good camping there as well. With the recent addition of bike trails there are... More

***RANT*** We left our campsite to get dinner. Returned and someone stole our camping gear. Filed a report with the state park and police. Now we have to find an available hotel room for the next two nights. (we worked really hard to find a hammock campsite. You can only hammock off certain trees here, in specific campsites) The park... Stopped here when in Jacksonville on business and what a great park. Walked a long boardwalk and path to the water/beach, which was really nice. Was able to find some cool seashells, too. Just be aware of the tide schedule so you don't get trapped or surprised by water. Would love to come back and spend more time someday. Cost... More

Plenty of parking, bathhouses nice and boardwalk to the beach, though quite a walk, but once you get there well worth the effort.

We had our dog with us. Florida does not allow dogs on the beach. We were able to walk with the dog on a trail two miles to the beach and turn around and walk the same trail two miles back. The beach is beautiful and it was nearly deserted.

Away from the crowds. This beach is beautiful. I brought my California guests here and they were blown away. This is real Florida

This is a great family place for everything; picknics, surf fishing, swimming. Check for camping overnight, some of the state parks don't allow it and I've never stayed overnight here. Still an outstanding place to visit.

I planned a family reunion at this State Park last June and it was great. Plenty of space for activities planned as well as the beach and a nice area for grilling and eating.
