My trip to The Florida Theatre is unique in that I am a band photographer who was on a Florida tour with two bands. Shows of that magnitude offer more than their fair share of stress believe me! Upon arrival at The Florida Theatre In immediately noticed there was a grunge festival going on in the street next to the... More

This was our first time at the Florida Theatre and I'm not sure I'd go back. The theatre is beautiful and historic. However, so are the seats. I felt like I was on a United Airlines plane..... very narrow seats and absolutely no leg room, very uncomfortable for a two hour show unless you are pencil thin and have short... More

This once-upon -a-time movie theatre is now showing live musical and theatre productions. The repurposed venue is intoxicating with charm, with its upper and lower balcony and first floor seating arrangements. A few months ago my husband and I attended a 1950's popular vocal group concert group there. Seating was fine for me, but if your partner has long legs,... More

Best venue to see a show. I've seen over two hundred rock concerts in eight different states and this place is the best. Great seats, intimate setting, and world class acoustics. Sit in the loge for the best seats...it hangs over so far that you're almost on top of the stage. Become a friend for 150 a year, and get... More

The Florida Theatre is an incredible historical venue. There is not a poor seat in the house. I highly recommend a balcony seat if you are seeing a multi-member band or stage performance.

My wife and I enjoyed a night out here at a comedy show a couple months back. The place has a lot of history. The last time I was here was when my wife was in the Miss Jacksonville contest many years ago. There were to shows going on at the same time but that didn't effect us or the... More

We attended the Elvis 60th Anniversary Bash, and enjoyed seeing and hearing Elvis impersonators preform in a historic theater with a large stage! Parts of the Florida Theater reminded us of the Fabulous Fox Theater, in Atlanta, except on a much smaller scale!!

The theater was very nice and the few shows we have seen were great. Just be careful of balcony seats because you don't want to sit right behind the bar that protects you from falling. You won't be able to see a thing.
