This place is so much fun! Get a good hike in. Checkin' out the fort on the intracoastal waterway on a beautiful sunshiny day in Florida! Lots of birds and nature all around.

Staff is great and highly engaging of young visitors. They offer the "junior ranger" program. Hikes, climing trees, beautiful ocean views are all available while learning about the Indian culture and practices.

Decided to ride over to this place one day bc I was bored. So glad I did. I was fascinated with the museum. I love history, so I found the different artifacts very interesting. The fort replica was also interesting. And then of course, you...More

Their website helpfully describes their trails and that some loop back while others do not. My advice: take a photo of the trail map before you enter!! Their are not enough of the tiny markers on the trails coded as the green trail or the...More

It's quite the trek off the main road but worth the drive and adventure. Kingsley Plantation is a step back in time. A great learning opportunity. Preserved plantation home is beautiful. Visitors Center is back towards the water along with the restrooms. Great learning area...More

This is a nice hiking spot with the highest elevation in the area. Also fun to bike. The scenery is beautiful.

This is a great example of forward-looking people protecting a site that otherwise would have been commercially developed. Fort Caroline, a French settlement, was captured by the Spanish. There is an interesting museum. Timucuan is a collection of ecological sites.

Great place to bike without worry about any cars. Went south from Omni on a separate wide bike path through beautiful quiet woods. Many places to stop and hike for a few miles if desired. This is the real Florida woods with live oaks, cypress,...More

If you are looking for a scape from the city and learn about the civil war times, this is the perfect place. Unfortunately, there is not access inside the house. That is something they could expand. Still, I love it!

It's far out in the middle of nowhere. Except from car service, maybe there are tours that take you out there. I don't have information on that though.
