This is just one of the Vanderbilt Mansions - there are larger ones that are more impressive. Still a visit here gives one an idea of what life was like in the Gilded Age. The furnishings are the originals. What I'll remember of my visit...More

Our fall visit to mansion was fine but we were not overly impressed. The tour was just fair and the handicapped access was not working. We have visited the Mansions in Rhode Island and the Baltimore and this visit and tour was not as nice...More

Short of time, we did a drive through. It's a beautiful property. Wish I could say more about the inside. Definitely make time for a short tour.

Not as glamorous as I expected, having toured quite a few gilded age mansions. The grounds are nicely maintained and the museum shop has a wide selection of gifts to choose from.
