This estate has something for everyone. A planatarium, private natural history exhibits and the mansion and grounds themselves. At one time Vanderbilt was the richest man in the world...extraordinary tale and treasures.

The Vanderbilt Mansion has a wonderful historical tour. It’s got a rich history that provides insight into the lives of the rich and famous of the Day. Our tour guide was a great story teller which made the tour extra fun.

Be thankful you don't have to change your clothes four to eight times s day . Super ornate furnishings of the rich and famous . Excellent your given by national parks ranger, Nice gift shop

12/2017 - Mansion renovations just about completed. Quiet, beautiful grounds.Beautiful views of the Hudson River. Can have picnics near the river on the lower property. Walking required.

Please, if you can, make a trip here. The docents are extremely informative. The furnishings are breathtaking. The grounds are amazing. We have been several times. A great value.

Did you miss those big blue signs that point direct you to "Vanderbilt estate" ? Big arrows? Sorry you were so stressed but you might try say, Google Maps?
