What a fantastic place to visit. So often, we focus on the battles of war, but there is so much more. This is the story of a civilian. Although it has a sad ending, Jennie Wade should not be forgotten. This is her story.

Great way to learn about the history of the only civiliian killled during the 3 day battle. Guides were knowledgeable and helpful and you always learn something new when you come!

1862 Inn definitely is pet friendly. It is also a great centrally located hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there and plan on staying there again next year!

I can only answer with what I know. I've seen pets on leashes all throughout the battlefield. The battlefield is HUGE with tons of open space expansive fields which you are permitted to walk on anywhere you wish. I'm not... More

The Jennie Wade House History Tour can be purchased in the Gift Shop next door to the Jennie Wade House. The Tour is done by someone in period attire and with the house being so small the tour groups are limited in size... More
