I have a degree in clothing and textiles design and have worked in the industry. This musty museum did not show the process of fabric design , just bits and pieces of the inspiration. There were young people at each floor who I guess were...More

I'm a sewer and love all things fabric and sewing – including feathers and textiles and buttons and bows. You will find none of that here. This may have at sometime had something to do with fabric but no longer. The exhibits I saw were...More

While much of the museum was not necessarily fabric or textiles, it was fascinating! My 19 y o daughter and I spent a couple hours exploring all the artworks in the 3 story museum. We have been telling our friends about it ever since! The...More

Not what I was expecting but nevertheless very worthwhile. Great gift shop with delightful staff. I thought i would see more about textiles in general: the history and development as well future of textiles. Feels more like an art gallery. We did not see any...More

I love textiles and textile products and had looked forward to this museum. The current exhibit was a bit peculiar - there are performances being held occasionally and the performance spaces are the focus of the exhibit. I want to go back when there is...More

My 20 year old son (I know, right?) took me and my Mom to this little museum. We had a docent guide us through the two exhibits and they were pleasantly enjoyable. One was definitely better than the other in my opinion. I look forward...More

I was excited to see this little museum and workshop. I went and and told the guy behind the counter and told him I was looking forward to seeing the museum. He looked at me and said "go through the gift shop and if you...More

Very strange out there stuff. What we saw was on a par with the most abstract and abstruse contemporary art. This is not a fabric art museum. Spend your time on something else.

We've been to this museum twice in the past 3 years. Don't expect fabric as the centerpiece of the museum. Both visits had very little fabric to view but each visit had interesting things to see. Check their website to see what is currently exhibiting...More

This is an odd place. If fabric art is not your thing, then the Fabric Museum is not either. Mandatory guided tour, which is also curious. The workshop seems like it does interesting and beneficial work, and the people are very nice, but the exhibits...More
