I grew up in a town where individual service in the surrounding shops and stores was the hallmark of the businesses. In a city where souvenir shops are everywhere, it is refreshing to find a store where the merchant cares and runs her shop with old-world personal service and true concern for her customers. Xeno's proprietor, Tina, really knows about... More

We were looking for Cats meow things and after looking at 5 places the website sent us here. We met Tina, who really knows about Philly, cares about what she sells and does and cares about each customer. It' s worth any detour to stop by her shop!! In the 200 block of Chestnut St.

I'll start by saying I am not a chatty shopper. I tend to keep to myself when shopping, but my child strikes up long, engaging conversations with anyone...everyone. So the next thing I know, 10 minutes becomes 30. The woman at the shop is very friendly and inquisitive. She suggested some books for my son and his friend, and then... More

I visited this shop with a friend in mine on Saturday, June 7th of 2014. I'm not sure who this wonderful lady is that is described in the other reviews because I never met her. There was one woman watching the place, and my friend and I were the only two people in the shop. She watched up VERY closely,... More

The lady that runs this place is VERY friendly and helpful, she asked how we were travelling - by car or plane and then had us check all our items before packing them expertly for us, not a scratch on anything she packed at all. The selection is varied from beetles to science fiction (huge Star Trek fan here) to... More

I was walking by this plan and happened to go in to check out souveniers for my family/friends and Tina was so helpful! She gave advice and directions with a map for places I wanted to go. I wish I had gone in on the first day I was in Philadelphia!

We were looking for a small laminated map of the city and she had it. If you are an Hello Kitty fan she has a nice selection.

Tina helped us our 2nd day getting an umbrella. She told us all the places we were near by to see. The last day we bought our souvineers from her and talked about our trip. She was a pleasure to talk to and loves her city. This shop is great for those last minute gifts for the friends and family.
