I accidentally sat on 2 of the "Once upon a nation" benches and then a storyteller appears. They have a different story and history facts at each location. This is great for the kids, as they give them a flag and have to get a star from every stop and if they do they get a free merry go round... More

I love the story book benches. The kids will enjoy collecting stickers at each bench, and even Mom and Dad will get a kick out of the stories. The story tellers are kind and friendly, and are willing to answer questions. Great for a day trip activity, or even an over night stay.

The people they have at these stations do a wonderful job bringing the stories to life. They offer a fan after the presentation and you get a star at each station and collecting all of them gets you a discount on an attraction. One of my favorite parts was listening to these folks. Get a map to know their locations... More

While traveling around Philadelphia, stop at the benches and wait for the story. The story tellers are enthusiastic and well versed and their tales are historically significant. Best part other than the story: no tipping is allowed!

These are the most fun!!! The individuals who are at each bench are excellent!! They tell a wonderful story and are great actors. They do not operate on Sundays or Mondays and their hours the rest of the days are from 11-4. We went to 5 of them and wish that we had been able to go to all of... More

The stories are always intresting and the storytellers costumize them to the audience. the hunt for the next bench is also one of the best parts and feels like an exciting treasure hunt.

I really enjoyed the vignettes. The presentations were well done and enthusiastic. What a creative venue, walking in such historical settings, only a minute or two apart. Kudos to the staff for such a great job.

The story benches are a great break from walking around. The stories vary on how interesting they are. The kids loved all of them and some of the stories are more geared towards kids. The one at Valley Forge was the most interesting to me.
