A little bit of rowing history, legacy for the sport today and an established piece of tradition which seems well used. I cycled past one evening to find a good number of boat crews out on the river - a very tranquil view. Walk upriver...More

Take the East River Drive on your way in to center city Phila. Park sit by the water . You will be among these properties usually with their sculling boats outside, Relax enjoy the water also.

You have to see them lit at night. Go. Don't miss it. For the regatta, the lights were purple, Christmas is also a terrific time. Kelly Drive is always a great choice.

This is a classic Philadelphia sight. Drive by the river at night and enjoy the iconic view. Also nice to see the rowing teams practicing on a spring afternoon

I love rowing, boating, and really all things water and was very much looking forward to seeing Boathouse Row. I was very disappointed. The path to the Row was okay, but the Boathouse's themselves were very poor. Totally unkept and very restricted access. The backs...More

Classic Philly beauty! Even if you're on the boat house walking side, beautiful views of the water and a nice place to take a walk. If you have a chance, drive by the other side at night!

Beautiful by day and even better at night. Walking distance from Philadelphia Museum of Art. Light dinning/coffe options available. Nice stroll either walking, jogging or riding a bike.

This area of the river is lined with Boathouses from many . There are numerous Regattas (Boat Races) during the Fall and Spring seasons. It's fun to come watch and eat a cheesesteak while the college kids and others race along to the finish.

There is a lovely walking and cycling path that winds along in front of Boathouse Row. The houses are huge and grand, and impressive. Seeing the rowers on the river is cool, too. There is a small cafe to grab a bite or beverage. Parking...More

The Boathouse Row in Philadelphia is so beautiful to see during the day and the evening. They have decorated the housed with all kinds of lights and that makes it really beautiful during the evening.
