Nice space in the heart of history and inside a bustling city. Great place to sit down and enjoy an evening. Great views of Independence Hall.

We walked around the mall while visiting the Liberty Bell, Independence Square & Hall and the other local attractions. Only negative was witnessing a knife attack while in line for the Liberty Bell but other than that, the weather was good and we had a great time here in the birthplace of our nation.

What a beautiful visit to our country’s history and beautiful grounds. The Rangers were especially helpful and very knowledgeable during their presentation. Be sure to get tickets ahead of time!

If you are in the mall, it is a short walk to most of the historical building in the area. A great place to relax, have a snack or drink, and prepare for the next location.

We saw Independence Mall and the Hall of Congress. The Independence Hall required a timed ticket. I didn't know that. We were lucky enough to get a ticket from the Ranger that was stationed outside the hall. If you go, best to reserve online before coming here. Well worth it.

So many great sites to explore and learn more of our country’s history. There is a mix of open and closed sites; check the park site for the latest information before you go. Worth a trip to see it and learn some history.

Independence Mall is a grassy area about 4 city blocks long that houses Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Independence Visitor Center, and the National Constitution Center. Various other museums and landmarks surround the grassy area. If you walk right through the middle of the Mall behind Liberty Bell Center, you can get some GREAT pictures of Independence Hall!

ThIs is a really pretty area of Philly! You will be in this area if you are seeing the bell or independence hall! Make plans to spend the day here!

How long does it take to tour Independence Mall?
I was thinking of going this Sunday, at opening which I believe is 9AM.
I was hoping to drive over to the Mutter Museum by by 10:30 ish, so that we can be in a sports bar for the Eagles game by 1.
Is this possible, or should I cut out the Mutter Museum?
Any suggestions on a great sports bar in the area to watch the game?

I would say 1.5-2 hours should be good. If you rush and try really hard you can finish it in 45 mins - 1 hour.
If I were you I would skip Mutter Museum if I run short on time.
