This is a very different museum of many odd and weird medical abnormalities, instruments and more. For all who are interested in the history of medicine and medical treatment. It is very different and worth the visit.

This place is ALL Philadelphia, No other place in the world has a Mummers Museum. The 100+ year Philadelphia tradition is one of a kind, The best Parade in all of the US of A. The oldest Folk Parade in America has it's own Museum. A MUST visit.

You're better off looking on the internet for the history and costumes than taking the time to go to this dirty and dusty museum. Yes, the costumes are outlandish up close, but it's just weird....

As someone born on New Year's Day, every year I delight in watching the Philadelphia New Year's Day parade and the wonderful Mummers String Bands. I took a group of seniors from Ohio to the Mummers Museum and they were delighted to learn all about this wonderful tradition that is not known outside the Pa/NJ region. The Mummers Museum opened... This is a great way to learn a little bit about the history of one of Philadelphia most unique traditions -- Mummers. Lots of customs and props on display, and you can't beat free.

I, like so many in the tri state area have familiy members down the line somewhere who have been or associated with the Mummets in one way, shape, or form. The museum is beautifully done giving special detail to the rich history. I totally recommend this.

We popped in here on New Years Eve so that i could show my girlfriend some of the elaborate costumes and help her understand what the mummers tradition is all about. We are both outa-towners but ive been to the parade many times before. Ron showed us around and personally spent about an hour explaining all the costumes, different clubs,... More

We had no idea what to expect, but for just a few dollars, the Mummers Museum is fascinating and a great bargain. This museum isn't particularly high tech or fancy- more like a labor of love on a mission to preserve the history of the mummers for future generations. When we walked into the vestbule, it seemed as though we... More
