Located in the heart of historic Philadelphia, the National Liberty Museum is dedicated to preserving America's heritage of freedom by encouraging people to find their own place in the story of liberty. Visitors to the Museum enjoy an inspiring and entertaining experience, as they interact with incredible stories of heroes and a collection of contemporary art. Come see an exact replica of the Liberty Bell that still rings, life size children made of jellybeans, and our famous "Flame of Liberty" by Dale Chihuly made just for the National Liberty Museum. Also, be sure to check out our gift shop full of Philadelphia souvenirs, unique handmade jewelry, and fashion accessories.

We went in to see the Chihuly but ended up staying for quite a while to visit the many wonderful and moving exhibits.

This museum tends to get overlooked in the shadows of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell and the National Constitution Center. But it has much to offer the native Philadelphian as well as the traveling visitor. As a tribute to liberty and freedom it showcases...More

The museum had beautify displays. They were well prepared for a school group and knew their information. They kept things lively and pointed out important exhibits for the children to view. The materials on line do have a dead link to a no longer working...More

A truly stimulating and enjoyable experience over three floors. Starting with an inspirational documentary, then up to the fourth floor by elevator to work my way down to the ground. I was enthralled by the exhibits, moved and inspired, but also entertained. There is something...More

Almost literally, a glass gem to be exact. Wonderful works by talented artists. In the plethora of Philly attractions, it would be easy to overlook, but a mistake to do so. Highly recommended, your kids will love it too!
