I grew up going to Macy's in New York . I fondly remember the wooden escalator and the electric train display. While this store doesn't have either of those it is beautifully decorated and also has Christmas music

Loved the history in this building. The pipe organ was fun to listen too. The shopping was also fun at this store. I loved interacting with Macy employees who also shared the history of the building. Side note:, the shoe department customer service was awful!

If you are interested in architecture you will love this shop. The building seems historical and stands beautifully in the middle of the city centre. The shop has a variety of things on offer, from expensive to mid-range and affordable. If you have access to...More

The grandness of an era past resonates as you take in the architectural beauty of what was once Wanamaker's. Now called Macy's, it is in name only, a piece almost out of time-an anachronism. If you close your eyes, you can still hear the organ...More

This is a very nice department store. Don't miss the Christmas concerts on their wonderful organ, well worth taking the entire family to.

Completely unexpected from a department store but Macy's have a very talented organist belting out music as you shop, the vibrations really strike home on the second floor. Well laid out shopping areas and there is always a bargain to be had.

A department store with a pipe organ in it. Nuf said. Top that Ebay and Amazon. This is the former Wannamaker's Department store, and like Marshall Fields (Macys) in Chicago, it is beautiful. There are three floors for shopping, with thirty foot ceilings and an...More

From the outside, Macy's doesn't look like much. Once you're inside, you will be amazed by the grandiose and architecture. In the fall they have indoor flea markets and lot of activities for the kids.
