If your doing a self-guided walking tour, you should definitely pass by. You can see the grave from the sidewalk, so no need to enter the cemetery. Definitely look up why people toss a penny on it, and how they claim that is the reason...More

I love cemeteries and this old quaint one was the very nice. Bens grave is the only grave that is open to a fence area and you can see it without going in, but I highly recommend paying the three bucks and going in to...More

I believe there is a few to enter the cemetery, but I just observed Ben's grace from the street. It's interesting think about what a historic icon is resting here and given its proximity to other attractions, I would recommend stopping by and vowing from...More

We walked over in the rain..and unfortunately, the cemetery was closed, We were able to see Franklin's grave from the street. The kids tossed a penny onto his grave site. Not very climatic, but worth the visit nonetheless.

After walking here, we found out there was a preservation fee and although minimal, we only had a few minutes, so we saw the grave from the street. It's a cemetery but it was interesting to see where Benjamin Franklin was buried.

I went as part of a walking tour which was fun. I would not go to this location independently as it's a bit off the beaten path and you have to pay to get into the graveyard--very weird. It was cool to see where such...More

In addition to Franklin's grace this cemetery houses 5 signers of the Declaration of Independence and Mason (as in Mason Dixon). Just a cemetery with nothing else to special. Most headstones were made from soft blue marble so they have worn blank. When I visited,...More

Benjamin Franklin is arguably the most important and influential American Founding Father. Politician, inventor, businessman and Philosopher; a visit to his final resting place at Christ Church burial ground is an inspirational and renewing experience. Combined with a "pilgrimage" to Independence Hall and the Liberty...More
