Not exactly the stuff of Washington during the Revolution, but you can't get a better view of Philly than using the ferry. We use it to get to Adventure Aquarium. The only drawback is that they don't let you on till 5 minutes before launch. And it if is hot, you may end up waiting in the sun--not fun.

Great ferry ride to take for a concert across the river. Easy hop on from Penns Landing and no hassles of cars or taxis. Loved the night views of Philly when coming back from the show!

We took the ferry from Penns Landing to the Adventure Aquarium. It added one more bit of fun to the outing and was stress free. No parking issues or trying to navigate traffic over the bridge to NJ. My only complaint is the schedule is very limited. Once an hour on the hour from Philadelphia and once an hour on... More

I used the RiverLink to get to a concert in Camden. I was a bit apprehensive because I was traveling by myself and I knew the concert would get out late. I was pleasantly surprised - took Septa to Penn's Landing and the RiverLink was just a short walk down the steps. Cost was only $10 for a roundtrip ticket.... More

It's an easy and fun way to get across the Delaware River between Penns Landing and the Camden Aquarium. It runs every half hour. The ferry is quick, clean and offers a nice short time on the river with some nice views of the bridge and the Philadelphia skyline. There is no restroom on the ferry. The snack bar is... More

We walked down to Penn's Landing and took the Ferry to the Aquarium in Camden. It was a nice ride, not long at all, probably 10 minutes. The fee was $7.00 I seem to remember, but that includes the ride back after visiting the Aquarium or the Camden River Park area.

Round trip fare is covered by the Philadelphia Pass. We used it to go to Battleship NJ and Adventure Aquarium. It is a 15 minute walk to the ship and a 5 minute walk to the aquarium. The ferry only runs every hour - on the hour from Philly and on the half hour from NJ. This is ridiculous as... More

Given that it goes to Camden, it really is the best way to go, if you're staying in Philly. It's a nice ride, although I have a personal affection for boats. Normally, there are ferries to Camden on the hour, to Philly on the half-hour, so you can work your trip to Camden around this.

We took the ferry from Philadelphia to visit the Adventure Aquarium. Most visitors don't know until they get to the riverfront that the ferry only departs every hour, so it helps to plan accordingly. During our weekday visit, the ferry left the Philadelphia side on the hour and the return trips were on the half hour. Pay close attention to... More
