Early September Tuesday, very off day, no crowds, some women with babies. No school groups. Perfect temperature. What could go wrong? Simply average. As residents and lovers of animals, we surprised ourselves that we haven't been there sooner having lived here three years. We had...More

A charming zoo with nicely exhibited animals and some very special treats-overhead mesh passageways that allow big cats and primates-not in same system-to traverse around the zoo. A decent collection of different types of animals with a fun children's zoo as well.

I thought this zoo was amazing. I saw so many different animals and there was so much to see. I walked around the entire zoo and so enjoyed my visit there. I would recommend this zoo.

I'm not a huge fan of zoos, let's get that out of the way. However, the Philadelphia Zoo was one of the cleanest I've visited. They really seem to go above and beyond to make sure that their animals are comfortable.

I disagree with my associates. Yes! There is plenty to see on a rainy day. There are many "houses" of animals you can explore. Apes, birds, reptiles and a couple of other inside exhibits will keep you busy the major part... More

Yes. There are quite a few misting stations throughout the Zoo. I saw at least four today (16 July 2017).

Very sorry for the delayed response. We spent about 2-3 hours at the zoo, including a lunch. We traveled with a three-year-old. Hope this helps.
