We had a nice stroll on the boardwalk, enjoying the beautiful evening and boats. A bit too crowded for my liking but probably because of Memorial Day. Long lines for the food and swan boats. Kids area was small but very nice. Overall very nice.

We came to Philly on the weekend of Memorial Dat. The weather was fabulous so we walked down to Penn's Landing. My kids saw the sharing rink and heard the fun music and had to go! The rink and surrounding area are sponsored by Blue Cross. They rent skates for $10 per person and $3 admission fee. So you could... More

If you're in the historic part of Philadelphia and you want a nice walk along the river go to Penns Landing river walk just a few block away. Food trucks, hammocks, chairs and small shops. Can also take a ferry across to the Aquarium.

Nice walk here, especially in the spring when the cheery blossoms are present.Have attended a few concerts here in the summer. There are many benches where one can sit and enjoy the water view.

While certainly deserving a visit, the city and federal government has never dedicated the necessary funding and energy to create what should be one of this country's major historic waterfront attractions. Unfortunately the last and best attempt some years ago was scuttled by political bribery requests by then city officials. Attractions have been added but haphazardly rather than in an... More

There are many benches along the waterfront by the cheery trees. It is a beautiful spot to sit and take in the view or take a few photos.

Love to come here for concerts in the summer. Also nice to just take a walk by if you're in the area, or never been here. Nice to be by the water in the city.

Penn's Landing is a work in progress, developing the waterfront in this city. There are some condo developments, but of most interest were the piers being revamped into places to go. A number of restaurants seem to be present, and walking along the piers reminded us very much of the Fisherman's Wharf area of San Francisco, just not nearly as... More

On a Sunday afternoon, we walked out Chestnut Street from Independence Hall and the museums, restaurants, and hotels along the way were hopping with life. When we reached Penn's Landing, the Irish Memorial was a different kind of statue from anything we had seen before, and that section of Penn's landing inspired some reflection. 75 yards further on, we came... Penns Landing is a really important area to visit to get a feeling for the history or Philadelphia and indeed Pennsylvania. Like most waterfront areas its becoming less industrialized and more riverside apartment living.
