by going to the Independence Center in Philadelphia, you definitely go back in time. Some of the guides dress as they did in the past.

The Independence Visitor center contains many resources to make your trip enjoyable. There is a gift shop and clean bathrooms. I recommend booking tickets to visit Independence Hall in advance, tickets can easily be picked up at the sales desk.

Staff are well-informed and very helpful. There is a wide range of helpful leaflets. We were fortunate to be able to enjoy the free film shows covering aspects of the Revolution and this was very helpful in enhancing our subsequent visits to historic sites.
