The pictures one sees does not do justice to the actual site. A trail circles the base of the tower - about 1 1/2 miles. Ranger talks are offered and give you a great description of the geology of the area.

It's just off the side of the road as you enter the park, with several pullouts so you can take photos. There are literally thousands of holes in the ground so the boys will see plenty of prairie dogs. But don't try to get... More

It's literally at the bottom of the hill as you go to drive up to Devils Tower.

The Spearfish Canyon is a great scenic drive. We also stopped in Deadwood, Sturgis and Aladdin General Store along the way.
