This is an excellent location to cycle to and enjoys a splendid view of the Eastern Sierras, including Mts. Ritter, Banner and the Minarets. It’s about 8 miles from Mammoth Lakes and on the way back down you have the option of cycling down The...More

Minaret Vista view is beautiful and it is free to anyone who plan to go here. Little bit of drive from the main city of Mammoth Lakes but it’s worth it if you’re in the area.

This place is absolutely heavenly, no matter what season you visit it. I recently visited it in the fall —mid October — to experience the stunning, colorful aspen trees, the majestic pines, and the most strikingly beautiful night-time skies — sprinkled with stars with a...More

The views from Minaret Vista rival those in nearby Yosemite NP. Since you are facing west, the views are better in the morning hours. You get a great look at the Reds Meadow Valley below as well as several high mountains in the Sierra Nevada....More

Hanging out at the Minaret Vista when the road is open is one of my favorite things to do in Mammoth. The view changes almost every 10 minutes. It's absolutely breath taking.

Make sure to make the short drive to the vista point, or hike up there. It is a breathtaking mountain view. We saw it in the morning but it supposed to be even more wonderful in the sunset.

The vista is only open if they clear the Road from the Main Lodge to the Vista but with the winter snows I don't think you will be able to get their until until April or June.
