Always enjoy a day of snow shoeing here which is free if you have your own gear, but they have inexpensive rentals as well. Bring a lunch to picnic and enjoy hiking up to the various lakes and views.

We have stayed in Mammoth every summer for 6 years. If I had one place to stay, it would be here. The location is set down among the pines and right next to Twin Lakes. It's quiet and peaceful with easy access to trails and bike baths. There's a camping ground behind the lodge and a cute general store for... More

We have used the ski center for Nordic skiing. Great friendly service. Reasonably priced.. The lodge has lodging, and restaurant. Beautifully groomed trails set in a high elevation location by beautiful Twin Lakes above city of Mammoth Lakes, CA.

It was a beautiful day Tamraz cross-country ski center. We rented skis for my 19-year-old son and myself. There happened to be a race on that day for kids and adults so we didn't have a lesson. The lady at the counter was very helpful I gave us the necessary skills involved. The map they gave us and the trails... More

I had never gone cross country skiing before, and I was looking forward to trying. Tamarack did not disappoint. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and my husband and I enjoyed the trails. I started out using the groomed "tracks" that you just slide your skis through. That really made it easy to learn! Also, we went on a... More

Well maintained cross country ski center. Lots of people. Small incline going up with more thrilling side trails if you want. Beautiful view around lake Mary. Could use an area for picnics.
