When one reads about the oldest bookstore in the country one anticipates a charming unique shop. Nevertheless it is a regular modern bookstore with no strings to the shop history.

The Old Moravian Book Shop has been saved by Barnes & Nobel and is now Moravian College's official book store. There have been changes and more will be coming. Over the holiday there was an authentic mead thing going on but that is to change...More

For the forty plus years we have had the opportunity to visit the Moravian Book Shop, it was a magical place. Our visit on Christmas Eve was devastating. The magic is gone replaced by a feeble attempt resulting in a few trinkets and a few...More

What is left of the moravian bookstore that I knew is empty expanse of hardwood floor. Stopped in for Christmas and it’s so sad. I was holding out hope that with the horrible paint color and exterior renovation, perhaps the interior was saved. Its basically...More

We use to spend hours in this bookstore before the college took it over. There were always really nice things to buy. Besides the hotel, the bookstore was one of the main attractions when visiting Bethlehem. We recently stopped by and walked out. They really...More

The Moravian Book Shop was always a favorite stop on our Christmas visits to Bethlehem. It always had a wonderful selection of ornaments and gifts, and it always felt like a charming, cozy place. Now that the college took it over, it barely has any...More

This bookstore used to be outstanding. However, it was taken over by new owners and much of the charm has been lost. The specialty foods and treasures are gone, and there are very few new books on the shelves. I was disappointed to see that...More
