This is a 76 acre water park that is well designed for scuba diving as well as a waterpark for families who don't dive. There are a lot of attractions underwater as well as several platforms for people to do their training on instead of on the bottom in the muck. If you can go during the week you will... More

Spent the first weekend in December doing open water SCUBA training at Dutch Springs. The former limestone quarry is very accessible to I-78, just north of Bethlehem. The facility is open select weekends this time of the year for diver training or special events. It is truly a divers playground with multiple submerged vehicles (plane, fire truck, boat, school bus,... More

I first visited in the Fall of 1996 and did do regularly until the Summer of 1998. Having returned to the East coast I have witnessed a great transformation. The addition of changing and shower facilities, greatly improved water access and additions underwater too. Where else can you dive an old Navy helicopter or business jet both suspended in mid... This place is great on a hot humid day. Pack up the car and take the kids tire them out for the day! I took my nephew here who was visiting along with his cousins and he had a blast! On dry land they have the challenge where you navigate your way across ropes and beams, a climbing wall. Then... More

Fun way to spend a day during the summer. My daughter had a good time and I got to talk to some off the divers and learned quite a bit.

A great place to learn how to and get in a good dive. The season pass is definitely worth it if you plan on making multiple visits. Also good for overnight camping if you plan to stay there for a few days. Visibility can be limited at times but well worth it. They can fill your air tanks, air or... More

Came here with friends to dive the quarry with legendary sunken attractions. The new submerged jet plane was by far the highlight. Caution divers who easily chill; there are several thermoclines where water temp dips into low 40°s. Stayed here overnight "camping". There is a 9 pm curfew which is barely enough to head out for dinner and get back... More

FTR, this was the first time I've been to Dutch Springs. I'm sure it was much better before, but my experience over two days of diving couldn't allow me to justify it being an odd occurrence. There are wrecks to see, but the algae was so prevalent that visibility was literally 6 ft max. This makes navigation and staying together... More

Hi Ken, The algae bloom here is a seasonal occurrence that happens in the warmest month of the year, August. Before zebra mussels inhabited the lake, average visibility was 10-15ft, with the best vis in the spring or fall up to 30ft. After zebra mussels, many divers have experienced vis in the spring/fall of up to 60-70ft, with the average... More

We came after lunch on a Saturday in August...it was crowded but not unbearable. My kids (ages 5, 7, 10, and 13) loved it but its definitely more for older kids (8 and up). The price is really reasonable if you are making a day of it but after 3 hours, we were done. We didn't do the snorkeling though... More

Been diving there for over 20 yrs. Did my first open water dive there, It was great back then. You could setup your area, suit up and dive, dive, dive without worrying about items left in your area. I just dive right out of the car. I was a season pass holder for years, the best way to go, but... More
