There are many historical buildings - some replicas and some actual buildings moved to the park. They include a general store, boat builder, blacksmith shop, barn, church (c. 1887), courthouse (c. 1860), one room school house and a wonderful pioneer (c. 1912) where the architecture...More

Well done historical attraction. Donations accepted. Authentic buildings and artifacts from Florida's past. Loved the school house. Small playground for kids to blow off some steam. Probably best for kids over 8. Nice little gift shop. Nice way to spend about an hour.

This was a pleasant surprise. Well presented display of buildings representing a certain period in Florida history. Nicely maintained and comfortably walked. Can easily be added as a side trip with another local activity.

My mother used to be an English volunteer here, in the 1980-90's, so we were interested to see what changes there were since then. There is only 1 building that is on its original site, but nevertheless the group of buildings are all original structures...More

The grandkids especially enjoyed the locomotive and the one room school house. It's an interesting look at the early days of Manatee County.

The park consists of buildings that early settlers used when Bradenton was first started. A church, court house, school, house. A nice place to visit with friends and family.

The hours are 9am-4pm. Closed Sunday. There is no fee but they do ask for a donation. A donation helps keeps this open air museum open. $5 is not unreasonable for a look at old Florida.
