We spent a most enjoyable hour exploring the buildings and the historical artefacts that fill this small site on the edge of Bradenton (14th Street East on the SR64). Mostly original buildings that have been saved and moved to this location. Lots of information on...More

This is a location where, with the exception of the Hotel/Store, historic buildings have been brought together, from other locations, and re-built in an attempt to show a typical grouping or setting. Its very well done and well worth the visit. It helps keep history...More

The manatee village is a wonderful step back into history. All the old buildings are furnished from the 1900s . The best time to visit is the Christmas season with a the decorations. A simpler time.

The hours are 9am-4pm. Closed Sunday. There is no fee but they do ask for a donation. A donation helps keeps this open air museum open. $5 is not unreasonable for a look at old Florida.
