When we lived in the area my daughter loved this place. On a recent visit to Ohio we returned here. The Boonshoft is still a fun place and the faces on the kids there confirm that the museum is a fun place for kids to explore, discover and play. On our visit, the place seemed a bit worn and ragged... More

This is a great place to visit once or twice, but it's small, and the zoo is stinky and creepy. In my opinion, animals should not be kept in cages for human enjoyment-- and we were disappointed to see the especially small facilities here. While this museum is great for the Dayton area, compared to other Science Museums that you... More

We always visit here when in town as my daughter loves this place. Enough activities for a whole day indoors. Educational and fun, especially a good choice for days too hot to play outside.

Took my 4 year old nephew for a visit to Boonshoft for his birthday. He had a blast and didn't want to leave after the 3-4 hours we spent there. His favorite activities were touching the sea star, visiting the hands on lab, the water table and the area with all the pretend businesses. It was a very hands-on experience... More

Excellent for children of all ages. Very diversified in the sciences. Also very interactive with exhibits.kids will stay active and leave tired without a doubt. And well worth the admission price.

My children are 8 and 10 and we thought they might be too old for this place. Although there are a lot of options for younger children, my kids had a blast here. We did 5 experiments over the course of our time there, watched a movie and walked through the entire museum. There were people in character walking around... More

Ideal for kids under 10, this is a phenomenal way to spend a rainy or cold day and get some energy out. The zoo has a lot of great rescue animals. And if you need a birthday party in the heart of winter for little kids, this is terrific.

Fun appetizers before the wedding reception where we were allowed to roam the Museum. The exhibits, especially the Zoo with live animals was quite a fun surprise
