I parked at Yorktown Battlefield Visitors Center and got a map of Yorktown inside. I walked past the Victory Monument to the Waterfront. The entire Beach had been raked. You can walk out on the Pier, Fish Eat and there's even a Schooner Trip ($32)....More

My 6 year-old did not like the "slimy bottom," and she wouldn't get in the water. My 7 year old spent our two hours here trying to catch the jellyfish that were very abundant in the swimming area. Lots of young people in very skimpy...More

In the summer we like to hangout there and people watch. Plenty of parking on a regular day/night....holidays..you can forget it.

A narrow beach but an immaculate place. It is beautifully maintained with shopping, restaurants, and a lovely tree lined sidewalk. If you get tired of walking there is a free trolley.

Nice to walk around the boardwalk area and watch the ships come to dock. We love swimming and I hate to say it but this water was just nasty. There were 100’s of cigarette butts in the water along with countless bird feathers and some...More

Busy during peak season, parking is hard to find, but atmosphere is very enjoyable, family oriented during the day.

The Yorktown beach is a wonderful place for families with kids. There is a protected area for swimming. The whole area is great for families and the beach is just the icing on the cake!

I saw a couple of people with them, even splashing in the water. I am not sure what the rule is, but no one seemed to mind. Great place! Beware of jellyfish!

No waves. It's on the York River, not the bay or ocean.
