There is so much of American History that never makes the books in school. Thankfully, there are places like Moore House! Also, be sure to check out Historic Jamestowne (another place that seemingly eludes "historians and their books").

The Moore House is on the outskirts of the Yorktown battlefield and is where the terms of surrender were drawn.

It was closed when we visited, not sure why, but it was a nice piece of property. We peeked in the windows, and it looked like they are still allowing guests inside, maybe not on Sundays.
