Our trip to the recreational area was a last minute quick detour off I35 on our way to OKC. We visited the nature center and Antelope and Buffalo springs on the northeast corner of the park. The paths were well maintained, signage was clear, and the birding was excellent! Our only issue was that the restrooms along the trail were... More

Walking the well maintained trials in the park in the fall is as beautiful as a prefectly paint country scene. The trail wine along two creeks that run crystal clean year round. When you walk the bromide trail you climb up a winding trail to come out on a giant rock overlooking the park and the town of sulphur. There... More

I actually live next to the park. I walk my dogs there. There are nice walking trails. There are places to picnic and places to camp. There are buffalo at the park at bison view, it's hard to catch them there but sometimes you get lucky. Veterans lake is here close and is very nice for fishing. There is a... More

This is such a beautiful and relaxing place. They have all kinds of walking trails. When you first enter the park at the main entrance, there are short, easy walking trails on your right. There are also longer trails that take you into the woods and along the creeks. There are several waterfalls that you can pull off the road... More

Yes, you read the title correct. We enjoy just driving through to view the wildlife. Deer, squirrels, birds, ducks on the water, buffalo and bear. Kidding no bear seen.

Spent the day strolling the trails of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. When you visit, be sure to see the Lincoln Bridge, the Buffalo and Antelope Springs, Travertine Island, little Niagara Falls, and the amazing panoramic view of the park and the town of Sulphur from the top of Bliss hill. Enjoy the many buildings and picnic areas built from... More

We loved walking the trails to each of the natural springs! It was beautiful there! Would be great in brisk weather- but we enjoyed it even when hot outside - wish we would have had our suits so we could swim. There are beautiful spots with small waterfalls! Would be awesome to camp there also!

My son and I decided to come here for a camping trip. We had a great time. There are several hiking trails, which we were very interested in. The scenery is great. The camp grounds are some of the best that I've been to. They are nice and very well kept. There are several things to do around the park,... More

We had only heard about the "Little Niagara Fall" in Sulphur, OK from our Facebook friends but we were pleasantly surprised by how well kept and preserved the entire area has to offer; Awesome trails with natural springs and waterfalls along the way are campgrounds, ranger station and rest stops with facilities modeled much like the rest of the famous...
