I must say that even though this is a dry camp, this was by far one of if not our favorite campsite because of it's location. Yes, you do have to be self contained, but who cares when you have a view like this. There is nothing quite like going to sleep at night with the sounds of the waves... More

The group campsites are a great place for a large group to take advantage of the beach and beachtown. The sites are spacious with water taps throughout. You can easily walk under the train track to the rock bottom beach where kite surfing and other sports are enjoyed. Or you can walk out to Main Street and rent a bike... More

We biked from our hotel on a fantastic beach bike path and stopped here to play in the sand. This was the perfect spot to bring a toddler as (being a weekday) was not busy at all and we could watch him enjoying himself in the sand without worrying about him getting lost (short attention span...). The sand was a... More

Emma Wood State Beach The location is nice, although mostly dirt so when the wind blows, get ready to get coated with dirt! The beach at the first 10 sites has some nice sand and the rest of the spots in the campground is covered in heavy rocks. The homeless are ridiculous here! We were warned about it. 40 bucks... More

We love camping right on the water! But our vacation was ruined by a thief in the night! He came prepared to cut the lock on our generator, so if you have anything you want to keep, lock it up tight inside your rig!!!!!

Easy access to the designated beach... IF you are in the first 10 ish spots. Otherwise, there are boulders over most of the beach area. Parking is mostly back in. Some parallel. Parking on the walls can get wet at hi tide.

We spent an hour and half walking on this trail and on the beach. It was morning and not too crowded. Beautiful scenery. We got out parking pass up at the north entrance and then drove back and parked at the south parking group camping area. This was perfect. And you parking pass can get you into the other state... The woods behind Emma Woods houses some of the most dangerous criminals in the area. It's hard to police it and we were warned as we arrived with children to put all of our things in the car before bed as there is a lot of criminal activity. A few of us stayed up till light to see what we... More

This place is close to the coast. I've camped there several times over the years. If you do come, bring a bicycle along and ride up the coast or into town. Sometimes, you can see dolphins - maybe even a whale on occasion. Tourists from around the world have visited.

Get away from it all and come relax ! We pack up the RV and just stair into the magnificent ocean. We are literally on top of the water so the beautiful ocean roars make for tranquil sleeping and relaxing.
