We went for a drive and found the Ventura Harbor Village. It is a really cute harbor village with quite a few shops. It remind me of the old San Pedro Harbor Village in LA (most of the cute buildings and shops are gone at the San Pedro Village ...very sad) there were lots of people walking around and the... More

Something for everyone at this complex. Tall ships visiting the harbour late January, and other events each month. Even without the "extras" you can easily spend an afternoon dining and shopping and enjoying the scenery. There are also hotels should you wish to stay in the area.

This harbor village has a mixture of restaurants and shops. My favourite place to eat is Andrea's for the best fish & chips to be found. There are boats to rent by the hour or day, and you can walk along the docks and out to the beach. Nightlife too. Further along at the end is the Channel Islands Mainlands... More

20 years ago a realtor said Ventura would be the Huntington Beach of the north. Slowly but surely Ventura Harbor has developed into a scenic harbor with many activities: kayaking, sailing lessons, surfing, sportsfishing all within this quiet harbor. Ventura Harbor is also home to SoCals largest fisheries supplying seafood all over the U.S. The harbor includes a variety of... More

The ocean on one side and the Harbor Village on the other makes for a great walk or shopping trip. There are many varieties of foods to eat. I love all the small businesses. Make sure you ride the carousel!

We live in Los Angeles, so we have San Pedro and Long Beach near by but since we were in Ventura, after some research I thought we'd take the girls to Harbor Village. We weren't dissapointed. The girls loved the arcade and carousel. Please don't deprive today's kids of fun activities like the arcades, pinball machines and carousels. The gentleman... More

Time for a getaway day? Try the Ventura Harbor where there are shops, eateries, and even an indoor carousel for the kids! The Harbor also is the headquarters for the Channel Islands National Park where there is an interpretive center ideally suited for the kids. When we have out-of-owners visiting us, we almost always go to the Harbor to give... More
