The show, the setting in the mountains, makes for a really nice evening. But bring some kind of seat cushion as you will need some padding for the long evening. The musical history of the area was very enlightening.

This is a beautiful show presented against the backdrop of McKelligon Canyon. It is a high action, fast paced musical tribute to those from the Native Americans, the Spanish explorers, the Anglo settlers and Cowboys and they assimilated through battles and peace over the past...More

Viva El Paso is a high action performance about the history of El Paso. The setting is in a beautiful little canyon with the mountain as a backdrop. Gorgeous!! The performance tells the story of 6 flags that have flown over Texas and trail of...More

I grew up in El Paso & have been to at least 5 Viva El Paso shows. Having the performance in the mountain is wonderful, beautiful scenery & doesn't compete with city lights/noise. I am a sucker for theatrics, so the acrobatics, cannon fire, &...More

Viva El Paso is a worthwhile evening out - a good pageant of El Paso history - although too long a show, which could start earlier as well and end at a more reasonable hour. The finale features JFK, Reagan and Bush, which has nothing...More

This performance was so much more than I expected. I can tell that a lot of work was put into its production. Viva El Paso is high energy and educational. Their use of the canyon backdrop made the experience feel like it was indoors. It...More

High action performance in a breezy little canyon setting with the mountain as a backdrop. Tells the story of 6 flags over Texas and trail of the "Pass to the North".

This ampitheater is uphill on the East side of the Franklin Mountains and accessible by a narrow paved road, made safe because you cannot go fast, by either motorcar or bicycle. (I've done both) on performance nights, motor vehicles are the mode of choice, and...More
