Mount Holly Cemetery is on Broadway, just south of I-630. It contains the graves of many of the leading figures in Arkansas history. I parked my car and started walking around. Quickly I spotted the grave of General Churchill, who led CSA troops in the...More

I have stopped by the Mount Holly Cementery several times through the years to visit former Governor Frank Whites grave. While there I have strolled through the cemetery looking at the interesting tomb stones and grave markers. A free brochure is available which is helpful...More

I've been by myself on my own and did the tour twice where local high school students portray some of the people buried there and tell their story. It's amazing to see the dates and architecture. It's a shame that some have vandalised.

We didn't do a tour. We drove into the cemetery which is hard to turn a bigger vehicle around. It is geared towards the horse and buggy days. The tombstones were very interesting. We were able to walk about freely without a tour guide.

This is a great place to visit if you're into history. "The Westminster Abbey of Arkansas" is the final resting place for a number of prominent Arkansans and has some amazing monuments. It's just off the Interstate, but feels a world apart.

The architecture is beautiful here. We had our daughter's senior pictures taken here and they turned out great. So many prominent Arkansans are resting here. We love going in October when Tales from the Crypt is going on. The school kids do a wonderful job...More

This is just a gorgeous cemetery. Very well taken care of. Unfortunately it has been vandalized by some punks. I hope what they broke can be fixed. Very peaceful even though it's in the heart of the city. Worth a visit.

The history and beauty of the old headstones is intriguing. You get sucked in by the beautiful and ornate stones throughout the cemetery. Great photos can be taken of sunshine shining through stain glass windows or from the unique stones with moss growing. I have...More

One of the most historic and interesting cemeteries in the south. Very well kept. Large shade tree's. There's a few interesting stories of it being haunted. Research before you come to learn about all the historical people buried here. Taphophiles will love this place.

Brief nice visit, so much to learn. You don't need so much time; since the cemetery is not that huge and can be cover completely by walking. Mount Holly was one of the earliest cemeteries to be place on the National Register of Historic places....More
