We drove up from St George to visit this museum and it took us about an hour to get there. We had 10 kids that ranged from 7-14. Everyone had a great time at this place because there is a lot of hands on fun for everyone. Usually museums are look but don't touch places, but not here. All the... More

What a great place to visit , loads of different exhibits indoors and out, they also have talks and demonstrations , check what's on, free parking and don't forget to climb into the ore digger at the front door, also located in the town centre

This was one of my favorite stops on our whole trip! (Even compared to some of the parks). This museum is so well done. Many interesting things to do and see. The best part is it is very interactive. There are things to see, hear and explore. I loved this for my children. Very educational! I HIGHLY recommend visiting.

I got here late in the afternoon, but still had enough time to soak in the local history of iron and of the city. I would have like to have seen more, but the clock was ticking. I had come from Nevada and had not realized there was a time change somewhere in the middle, so my plans to spend... More

This little museum is a gold mine of local culture. I remember the gentleman that was the originator of the collection, Gronway Perry. Well worth your time, and seldom a crowd.

Went there in Feb of 2017 on our way through. Enjoyed it very much. Large assortment of displays. I do wish some of the outdoor exhibits were open, especially the old house. Overall, well worth the stop.

It's fun to take grandkids. It's never been crowded. Kids can climb on the stage coach, train car and construction "digger." You can go through the exhibits at your own speed.

I remember going here as a child and took my kids here. It was such a good lesson on the pioneers and all they did.

The Frontier Homestead State Park Museum is a small site in the town of Cedar City. Despite the small size, it contains quite a collection of historical pieces in a nice setting. The museum consists of one large display building and then an outside area of smaller historic buildings and artifacts. Inside is a good collection of buggies, a few... More
