This place really has very limited ruins representation! The museum is small and has mostly photos and some artifacts... They offer tour included into ticket price and we joined it but ... didn't finish. The photography is limited - not much to see nor photograph....More

Pioneers originally mined and smelted iron ore here in the mid 1850s for early settlers. There are still a few kilns. The place has homes/cabins and a private lake. Easy access. Most of the trip is the drive.

Google Maps: Cedar City, Ut to Old Irontown, Ut. It is about 22 miles West of Cedar City, Ut on Hwy 56 on Old Irontown Rd.
