There isn't much to see here, the town is completely gone, except for a few foundations and an old iron smelting kiln. Too bad, because this was an important place in the history of Iron County. If you are traveling down Hwy 56 it is...More

A perfect spot for a short interesting walk. My boyfriend and I had it all to ourselves the day we went.

This place really has very limited ruins representation! The museum is small and has mostly photos and some artifacts... They offer tour included into ticket price and we joined it but ... didn't finish. The photography is limited - not much to see nor photograph....More

Pioneers originally mined and smelted iron ore here in the mid 1850s for early settlers. There are still a few kilns. The place has homes/cabins and a private lake. Easy access. Most of the trip is the drive.

This is a great place to spend the day. Call ahead for interactive displays, cloths washing, candle making, old type printing, etc, but even the the exhibits are wonderful. A real taste of yesteryear.

I ended up driving what seemed like the middle of nowhere thru Utah farm land and thru the mountains on back roads. I did wonder if I ever would find old iron town and thankfully I did. The town was remote and small but it...More
