While some trains are newer and cleaner than others, they are all part of the NYC experience. Sometimes crowded, sometimes gritty, sometimes lots of rats on tracks, but we still take them to transport us easily and for a reasonable price to get from point...More

What a service. Daunting at first but once to have your metro ticket (we loaded ours with $20 to start) and a map it is quite easy to use. Swipe the ticket to enter via a turnstile, the display will show what is left on...More

We found the way the system runs quite confusing the lines are letters or numbers but directions are rarely available which leaves you guessing which way to go for which lines. Trains and subs can run in the station and it can be a little...More

We were able to navigate pretty easily. Just wish they would announce the stops more clearly. Pretty reasonable in price also

If a regular commuter in NY tells you it’s all easy, never believe it. You need to buy tickets outside to enter a subway station or metro station, as there are long questions inside and you to know in advance where to get on, what...More

First time we have used it. It’s easy and cheap at $3 a ride. Heard a few reports it was full of undesirables but we didn’t see anything bad. Saved us a lot of money. Yellow cabs are a waste of money and spend more...More

We used the subway several times while we were in NYC and found it fairly easy to navigate. Only saw one hobo full on sleeping across all of the seats and he did not smell pleasant. Overall though it was reasonable cost and worked quickly....More

I thought I’d start my review with the tip above which, had I’d known it a few days earlier, would have saved my frustration at the machines in the early hours of the morning or with a hue queue behind me! All credit or debit...More

Walking is really the best way to see Manhattan but your feet do tire so next best is the subway. Don’t be daunted, they have a grid system and it is very easy to navigate. I work in London and trust me their underground is...More

There is a subway route from JFK to Manhattan. If you have luggage, except for over the shoulder or handheld, the subway route might not be the best depending on time of day. There are taxi cabs, limousines, and private... More
