We loved our up&up experience. Very excellent cocktails with beautiful glass ware and ice cubes. The wait was not too bad - a rainy night and the bartenders especially Adrienne who made our great drinks. Located in a busy Greenwich Village tourist block but forget...More

My friends and I were looking for a nice bar to go to after having dinner across the street. We found The Up & Up and came as soon as we were done. At first, the lounge was a little crowded, and the hostess led...More

Excellent cocktail menu with lots of interesting options to suit varied tastes. Our bartender was amazing and knew her stuff- she took the time to educate us about Genever and Aquavit. The atmosphere is cozy and sophisticated. Recommend.

We found this bar while waiting for Blue Hill. Great service, inviting cocktail menu. I wanted to try them all, but these are meant for enjoying slowly. Nice atmosphere, with a quiet, downstairs speakeasy kind of feel.

Went there pre-dinner. Won the trifecta: Great vibe, great drinks and great seats so we could all talk. No load, but did start getting crowded by 8 pm. We got there 7:30. Staff and servers were great.

Found this as a pre-dinner cocktail spot before Blue Hill. What a great spot - has the great "speakeasy" feel begin downstairs. Cocktails were superb!

Loved this place! Really cool inside, it’s down into a cellar like bar. The staff are all really friendly and seat you straight away plus giving you cocktail recommendations. If you like cool bars and cocktails this is the place to visit.

Cocktails are hand crafted. There are small plates they offer but are just snacks. The place is a step back in time.

Hands down the best cocktail bar in NYC. The cocktail list is creative, thoughtful, and sure to have something for everyone. The staff is extremely knowledgeable & professional.. but also very fun! The icing on the cake - they stop admitting people when the seats...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
