Great staff and facilities. Food is amazing. It is the party spot. Downstairs restaurant has a Dj playing and an amazing vibe. Rooftop has a great view and a perfect chill out. Next door you find bagatelle.

Gansevoort definitely caters to a younger crowd. The decorations and amenities are more "hip" and modern. I was a little disappointed because the room itself was rather small. The spa in the lower level of the hotel was definitely luxurious though, I had a wonderful experience there and the staff was very accommodating. I did not like, however, the rowdy... More

For many years, the southern tip of Manhattan was an area best avoided. No longer. The pioneering Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District was the original iconic hotel, chic and out there in style with the regulation rooftop bar, views and vibe to match a hang it out there attitude. It is great. On a sunny afternoon with a glass... More

For the young at heart; party with New York hipsters. Perfect location for Soho House members. Staff go above and beyond to cater for a memorable stay. Thank you to Eric and his team.

Hotel is now called Hotel Gansevoort - Meatpacking. This is definitely the better part of NYC and at the heart of the re-invigorated Meat Packing District sits this hotel. It's surrounded by views of the Hudson, cobblestone streets and renovated en vogue buildings and High Line (including the nearby Chelsea Market). It's also party central at night so if you... More

I have wanted to do a girls weekend at this hotel for a while. I finally made it there this winter. The staff is wonderful, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location......but......it is super expensive. That being said, everything in that area of the city is expensive. Just be ready to pay 40 for a glass of wine.... More

While attending the October 31, 2015 Dead & Company concert @ MSG we stayed at this pricey but very nice hotel in the meat packing district which is also very nice. The area is similar in many ways to the upper west side Central Park area. A little noisy in the penthouse bar of the hotel but it was a... More

I traveled to NYC for business and was scheduled to stay at the Gansevoort hotel. I was extremely happy when I went. The atmosphere is very trendy and truly represents NY. The location was superb and service was fantastic because you have everything nearby. The hotel food was expensive but there are so many options nearby that it shouldn't be... More

I knew the place for the fantastic rooftop where is cool to go and have some drinks. I tried to go there as hotel and I'ma bit disappointed for: 1. The SPA: they just have 2 very little jacuzzi and a sauna: do you call it a SPA?in order to attend classes you need to pay. 2. The service not... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
