I recently discovered The Market NYC in Soho at 483 Broadway. It's a 10,000 square foot ground floor space with lots of interesting vendors. One that caught my eye just opened. Ithrivenyc. Cool bags, totes, t-shirts. Got my Christmas shopping done early. Check it out.

Took the cab ride to the Market to find that it is a goner. There were people working on the space. Who knows what it will be next but for now...nothing.

Lots of handmade items: tendy jewelry, clothing, hats, gift items, bath soaps, organic candles and bath items, vintage clothing, t shirts. Three floors. Be prepared to spend some time in here, lots to see.

We were expecting to see much more "local creativity" - something that had American pazazz but were very disappointed. A handful of stores did but most were uninspired and some things looked very much bought in Bali/ Thailand etc!!

Unusual items, some locally handcrafted, some imported. Great finds, numerous stalls. Fun atmosphere! Check it out and see if you can find the perfect not-to-be-duplicated gift. Love this place
