An experience that is a NY must do. Allow plenty of time for the memorial wall and ground zero. Although there were a lot of people, which was a bit off putting, the queues moved fast. It was well organised.

After a powerful and moving visit to the 9/11 memorial and museum a short walk takes you to the smaller but still moving artwork that depicts the sacrifices made by the NYFD on that day beautifully rendered in brass,

These men gave their lives trying to help others during 9/11 attacks. Don’t go just to Ground Zero and 9/11 museum but please visit the Memorial Wall as well. Everyone should visit the memorial and pay their respect to them. Who would sacrifice his own...More

My husband is a fire fighter in Ireland so it was particularly important to visit this. Actually reading the names of the people who died as a result of the 9/11 attack is very sobering.
