Duffy square is fun to visit. There is a great view for most of Times Square from here. This is worth stopping at while in Times Square.

We have walked through this area dozens of times in the past few years, most recently last month on our way to a Broadway show. Father Duffy Square has a special meaning to me since Duffy was a chaplain in the Fighting 69th Infantry during WW II, the same outfit in which my father was an officer for 3 years... More

Times Square and Duffy Square are places where a lot of people take pictures of flashy advertisements... They really have to explain me what so special is about this place. There is nothing, really nothing to see what could be interesting...

Duffy square is a part of time square. Its full of big screens playing commercials, and there is Dufy's sculpture.

Also referred to as Father Duffy Square, it probably is known to most as just Times Square. Although it is the northern part of Times Square, this triangle from 45 to 47 street is named after Chaplin Francis Duffy. His statute and that of playwright, producer and composer George M. Cohan adorn the square. It has since been made into... More

While walking through Times Square you can see Duffy's square which has a tall statue of Father Duffy in front of a giant jumbo-tron. It's worth a visit since you have an opportunity to get a really good view of Times Square. But I'd recommend not going at night because it will get extremely busy and hard to see at... More

Any person working/living in NYC knows to avoid this area during lunch. When you work in the area, You'll see tourists everywhere. Look Big screens! Broadway! Everyone looking up and not looking where they're going and then... They just stop walking. Standing in the middle of the sidewalk pointing. Why.... Father Duffy Square is located between 45th and 47th Streets,... More

Our hotel overlooked this square so when I had jet lag I could pop out and see the view of Times Square unimpeded and without worrying about the crowds and kids. The red steps by Father duffy's statue are fun to climb and take pictures from. Apparently lots of people get married on them. Great to climb in the evening... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
