We went at 10:30 on Saturday morning and many shops were unfortunately closed for the weekend, but we were still able to find plenty of fabric at several stores. Know what you want before you go, because the selection may be mind-boggling!

This is a perfect district to explore NYC. The Empire State Building, Broadway, Times Square are all within walking disances! There are several hotels, shops, restaurants as well. It was a good idea to have our accommodation in here! :-)

Never took a tour...just walking around can see the sculptures evocative of the area and people walking racks of clothing to and fro...lots of places advertise open to retail and often people on the street holding placards... More
