The garden is huge and free and is so out of place it seems magical. This is well worth the effort to experience.

This is a garden near the eastern end of 42nd Street that serves as a green oasis in the middle of the city. In 1967 the Ford Foundation Building and the Ford Foundation Atrium Garden were completed and in 1997, the building was designated a national landmark. A unique feature about the garden is that its maintenance doesn’t deplete from... More

This is another structure which isn't really a tourist attraction and which isn't really worth visiting unless you happen to be walking past and want to take a quick peek. There's basically a small garden in an atrium with offices rising up above it. Nothing too exciting.

I'd read about this place in a 'Secret New York' guide book. In the middle of the building you'll find an atrium with a tropical garden and small pool. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
