Went back there last week and wondered around the area for a few hours. Battery Park, NY Stock exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church were a few of the highlights.

Amazing beehive of working NYC. The skyline is magnificent and there are so many cool destinations here, and much of it is among parks that are lovely and cool to relax in. Must see.

Lower Manhattan has lots of iconic places and parks and food points. You can also enjoy lower Manhattan from ferry going to Liberty Statue. Brooklyn Bridge, 9/11 memorial, Battery Park, One World Trade center and Observatory on the top of it are worth visiting places.

Lower Manhattan seen from the ocean is great and well worth taking a ferry trip to see. Lower Manhattan on land is a great place to be sightseeing and wandering just to sample the atmosphere.

Lower Manhattan is so different from Midtown. The streets wander about just as they did several hundred years ago. The water is nearby. There is so much to explore and discover - including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Hudson River Park, Tribeca, the new World Trade...More

As the World Trade Center buildings, and new, $8 Billion Oculus near completion (it's now accessible from the street), I think the area between the water taxi terminals on the west and the South Street Seaport on the east will have as much or more...More

Two of my traveling companions are taking a tour of the 911 memorial tomorrow at 11 am but the two of us were not able to get tickets even close to that time. What is there to do really close to that attraction so we will have something to do when they are there?

Hi. Not a good idea. Choose waling or public transportation instead. Parking is pricey,. Traffic is chaotic. Hope it is useful.
