Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting Central Park with our kids (15, 8) and riding the carousel was a must! $3.50/ticket and it was totally worth it!
Easy to find and purchase tickets from the booth, quick service

My wife and I did a ride; it was fun. We were the only ones without kids, as ours are fully grown, but it brought back some great memories.

Classic, historic indoor carousel - $3.50 per ride. Love the detailed carving on the horses & chariots and the ironwork on the decorative fencing. This is a nostalgic Central Park must for me, reminiscent of Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye.

The Central Park carousel is a visually attractive feature but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. The kids obviously enjoy it.

We happened upon the carousel when strolling around the park. It was very quiet and we were the only people on the ride. Great fun, and another experience to add to the list.

Our two year old loved it! Good thing to visit to give the little ones some joy after all those shopping and sightseeing days :)

Recommend the hershley playground nearby as well

Price is around 3$ per person

It’s only $3 for a ride on the famous carousel featured in tons of movies, including now you see me. It’s really nice and fun :)

This was my first time on a carousel and it was so much fun. It was like stepping back in time.

All 6 of us went onto the carousel. It's well over 100 years old but for me that just adds to the charm. It was a lovely ride and the kids enjoyed it so that's all that matters.

My nine-year-old loved this and did it twice. The ride was a good length of time and is easy to find. The horses looked really well maintained and beautifully painted. Be aware that it closes in bad weather, including rain.
