St Patrick's is a gorgeous place. Serene, historical, and impressive, it is a fantastic place to walk around or choose a spot to sit and just be peaceful. I hope you will go check it out!

What a gem. While walking to Little Italy we discovered this little unknown church. The Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, on the corner of Mott &a Prince St., is the original Cathedral of the Archdiocese of New York and a cousin to the more famous St. Pat's on 5th Ave. It's a national landmark and declared a mini basilica... It's not as well-known as its counterpart on 5th Avenue but the cathedral is noteworthy on its own for being the seat of the archdiocese of New York in the 1800s and the first church in the US dedicated to the Irish saint. It's not remarkable on the outside but really beautiful inside.

This is one of the attraction in New York city, ok is not Notre Dame in Paris or the sistine chapel in Italy, but it is a great art work you will enjoy, located in the nice upper Manhattan area, and enjoy touring New York .

The original St. Patrick's, this beautiful church is located in a neighborhood of brownstones and was the seat of the Catholic diocese 1808-1879. Wonderful vaulted ceiling, majestic main altar.

Beautiful cathedral on 5th street. Very peaceful and calming. Crowded but it was nice to sit down and watch people. Take lots of pictures.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
