I've heard a lot about the UCB theaters so I was excited to go to one while visiting New York. Fortunately I was staying somewhere that was very close by to this place so I was able to just walk there. The space is a decent size and the staff were very friendly. There were no big names on while... More

I went to a 7:30 show of Assscat on a Sunday. It was just as hilarious as I hoped. The performers are top-notch crazy-talented. Improv talent amazes me. This group is among the best of the best. Many of the faces I knew from TV/film and it was exciting to see them in-person. I set an alarm on my phone... More

We visited NYC right before Christmas to see all the festive lights. We wanted to see some entertainment after all of our days adventures but couldn't afford expensive Broadway tickets. I had been to Upright Citizens Brigade in the past and new it would be great choice. The tickets are 10 bucks and the drinks are decently priced. The atmosphere... More

Got free entry to Asssscat 3000 on Sunday 9:30pm. The whole 90min session is improvisation, and included a special guest (famous actor). All was really well done and funny, the participants worked fantastically together. Reasonable priced drinks available and only asked for a voluntary donation at the end to support the theatre.

Two words: Simon's Street. We came here twice during our stay in New York. The first was a 'Harold' night with three different improv groups (Dr Snake were excellent, and yes I know that phrase makes no sense out of context) and it was fascinating to just watch these groups think on their feet during the whole half hour. The... More

We saw the show, "Grandmas Ashes: We Won't Tell". So the premise of the show is that audience members anonymously submit stories of their most embarrassing moments that they have never shared with anyone. The troupe then reads those submissions out load to the audience and afterwards they compile those submissions into an improv routine. Hilarious and a New York... More

I love improv but it's miserable to stand up through an entire performance. They sell more seats than they have tickets. We arrived 20 minutes early and there were no seats.

Although not crazy funny it was fascinating and entertaining to watch the performers think on their feet. Overall a fun experience at a great price.

My second visit to the UCB Chelsea Theater and again a thoroughly entertaining show. Brilliant Cast, some of them actually appear in the Terrific Movie; "Don't Think Twice" doing the best improv in NYC!! The theater is small and intimate and each show sells out especially at the affordable admission charges Again, this is Improv!! People coming to UCB expecting... More

its very rare that ive walked oit of a comedy/improv show frowning ! sadly a visit to UCB was one! i understand Improv is a gamble.. depending on the cast it could be a great show or a total disaster ! the space as such is small, but prices very affordable. so makes the gamble worth a try !
