Had a brilliant Saturday night at The Duplex. We arrived at 9pm and got a table in the piano bar. Initially it seemed a little quiet and mostly full of tourists, but fast forward a couple of hours and it was standing room only in...More

An absolutely superb little piano bar. We had one of the best night's ever in this bar - with a hugely impressive piano player and singer who sung from a huge repertoire based on requests from the audience. Waitresses, bar staff and bouncers with amazing...More

The Duplex is the epitome of Greenwich Village. While the piano played in the background ,we sat outside and watched the locals and travelers a like walk the streets of the Village. While sipping our drinks we were approached by a wonderful transvestite palm reader...More

Talk about a small intimate room! Seats 74 packed shoulder to shoulder but makes for much fun when you don't need a big crowd to rock the joint. Wait staff apparently not as friendly as upstairs but they got the job done.

The Duplex is a bar downstairs, and becomes a magical cabaret theater upstairs! Amazing talent can be found at their shows. The wait staff is efficient, professional, and friendly! I have been both a performer AND an audience member, and its homey and comfortable. It...More

West Village

West Village is one of the city’s most coveted

this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You

Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to

Anybody can request to sing. You just write what you want to sing on a napkin and give it to the pianist.

It looks like more of a come as you are place, but I'd check the website regarding possible reservations. Also, there's been live music, every time we've been.
